The Gingerbread Man: Keeping up with technology
No matter how fast we run, we can't seem to catch up with technology. Just when we seem to master a tool, a new tool comes along and the learning process starts all over again. Not to worry, we have learned to put one foot in front of another, and keep moving forward. So what if it feels as though everyone around us is ahead of the game, at least you are in the game! And those people who are running faster? Well, just get right behind them and follow along (provided they don't end up in the mouth of a fox!) Technology will always move faster than education, your work is to pay attention to what's going on around you.
Have you ever thought about what would have happened to that Gingerbread Man if he had stayed in the oven? He would have gotten burned, or eaten at best. At least during the chase, he enjoyed the run! Find a way to stay informed, be willing to make a few mistakes, stick your neck out and try a few things. Get in the race, and run to win!
